Lestat and Dorian
I just wanted to post to say that the making of Lestat de Lioncourt from The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice reminds me of Dorian Gray's love of Sibyl Vane from The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Lestat was an actor in a Paris theatre and Magnus watched him and thought he was beautiful so he made him a vampire. In comparison, Dorian Gray went to a play and saw how well Sibyl Vane performed and he also appreciated her beauty so he fell in love with her. I just thought of that comparison while I was reading Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis by Anne Rice.
